Law Society Referral Service
Terms and Conditions of Use
Please read the following Terms & Conditions of Use. In order to use LSRS, you must agree to the Terms & Conditions.
LSRS will help you find a legal representative who practises in the area of law/legal services that meets your needs. The service can also help you find a legal representative who meets specific requirements, such as speaking a certain language or accepting Legal Aid certificates (lawyers only).
You will receive the name of a legal representative who matches your stated needs. The legal representative is licensed by Law Society of Ontario and is entitled to practice law or provide legal services in Ontario.
You will have up to 30 minutes for a free verbal consultation with the legal representative, either by telephone or in person. Any legal work completed for you may incur a fee. Please discuss fees with the legal representative.
LSRS does not offer second referrals for the same legal issue. In other words, you may not use the LSRS referral process to get a second opinion on the same issue from a different legal representative. Legal advice is not included in the consultation. Once you have been provided the name, you will need to call the legal representative’s office, leave your name, telephone number, and the referral number we will provide. He/she has up to three business days to call you back to arrange the consultation. The legal representative will be given your name and telephone number.
If you haven’t received a return call from the legal representative by the fourth day, please email us at lsrs@lso.ca
Thank you for using LSRS.
